On the upcoming morning, our daughter Ellie woke us up, because she was eager and anxious and desired to go on sightseeing journey as soon as achievable. My spouse Anna was patient and therefore she made Ellie eat her breakfast first, while we were drinking our first cup of tea in the Amsterdam apartment where we have been staying. We decided to spend that day to the museums in Amsterdam, however we all decided that the three key museums in the capital of the Netherlands will be enough.
The first museum to visit and the one closest to our own Amsterdam vacation residence, was the Van Gogh Museum. I am an absolute admirer of this particular well-known painter and was very pleased to observe the largest selection of prints from Van Gogh. The next spot we saw was the House of Anne Frank, which features various historic artefacts revealing the tale of a little lady who made a big impact on the earth. The third stop that day was at the nation’s museum of the country Rijkmuseum. We managed to get lunch at the gardens close to that museum, that are really enjoyable and inviting.
On our way back to the Amsterdam holiday flat we have booked, we entered a few souvenir stores and a number of large department shops. Anna especially loved one of the open-air marketplaces we passed by and purchased some presents.
After a brief nap in our Amsterdam holiday apartment, we were ready to go out again and Anna suggested we enjoy a quiet evening, sitting at the large terrace of one of the local cafes. There was a children playground spot, so Ellie was occupied too, as we were dining and taking pleasure in a cold glass of draught beer and some house wine.
